Knowledge and Experience:
Degree, Commerce or similar (advantage)
7 – 10 years in international freight logistics (primarily imports), with 3 – 5 years in local logistics operations (warehouse & transport). Experience managing small teams (1 – 2 years) is required
Strong knowledge in file registration and releasing
Professional client engagement on multiple platforms and team leadership
Ability to manager customer relationships and provide operational support
Proficient in Microsoft 365 package
Cargowise experience
Responsibilities:
Open files on the system by completing basic registration information and Required on Site (“ROS”) dates for new orders
Ensure the system is kept up to date and all relevant information and documentation is uploaded to the system by you and the relevant teams
Provides transparency and visibility for customers via the system
Monitor file profitability and proactively resolve discrepancies (prior to invoicing)
Team Management: Take accountability for overall operational performance of orders from receipt to invoicing, as well as file profitability. Support the growth and development of team members through training, coaching, and performance reviews
Customer Relationship Management: Provide proactive communication to customers, resolve queries promptly, and ensure timely delivery and invoicing
Order Management: Review and process new orders, monitor progress, and resolve issues efficiently to meet customer expectations. Handling complete shipment lifecycle “A-Z”, Comprehensive file management including booking, documentation, tracking, and delivery
Financial Management: Ensure accuracy in invoicing and manage costs to minimize unnecessary charges. Investigate and approve credit notes, while minimizing the need for write-offs
Supplier/Partner Management: Monitor third-party service levels and manage internal team relationships to ensure service quality and competitive rates
