Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum Matric
Tertiary Qualification an advantage
Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in import sea freight
Understanding of incoterms
Operational Knowledge – Import Procedure
Able to work in a paperless environment
Proficient in the Microsoft 365 package
Cargowise experience an advantage
Responsibilities:
Liaise with Transporters, Carriers and Clients
Open files and collate documentation for submission to Customs team
Monitor all functions using exception reports
Follows relevant Quality Control Procedures
Follow up for outstanding documents
Obtain release/ arrange payment to Carriers
Provide required documents to Transporters for collection
Maintain information on system
QC and send out status and other reports as required by clients and management
Compile costing for invoicing
Make recommendations for continuous improvement
Cooperate with and ensure close communication with Client Services Manager and Managers/Directors relative to customer requirements and systems
