Join a dynamic team of International Logistics Specialists!
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely handling of customs declarations, documentation and formalities. You will work with a diverse range of goods, including classic cars, wine, medical products and excise goods, while gaining exposure to bonded warehouse movements, AEO compliance, VAT and other fiscal matters.
The position is approximately 40% import and 60% export, offering varied responsibilities in a fast-paced international logistics environment.
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum MBO working and thinking level;
In possession of a customs declarant diploma;
At least 2 years of experience as a customs declarant;
Good knowledge and command of customs software, ERP systems and MS Office;
Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbal and written.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and process import and export customs declarations accurately and in accordance with applicable legislation.
Handle customs documentation and formalities for a variety of goods and shipment types.
Identify customs-related irregularities and report these to the relevant supervisor.
Process information relating to VAT and fiscal representation.
Assist with objections, Binding Tariff Information (BTI) applications and associated administration.
Support bonded warehouse and excise-related customs activities.
Advise customers and internal stakeholders on operational customs matters.
Respond to customs-related queries from customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Communicate relevant changes in customs and tax legislation to internal teams.
Provide clear instructions to colleagues regarding customs procedures and requirements.
Act as an internal point of contact for customs declarations and formalities.
Maintain complete, accurate and compliant customs records.
