Knowledge and Experience:
National Senior Certificate (NSC) / Grade 12 Certificate / Matric
A completed university degree, ideally including a subject related to finance, financial services, economics, or risk management would be an advantage
FAIS compliance (minimum of 60 credits at NQF level 4 recognised by INSETA)
RE5 Regulatory Examination completed | Representative (an added advantage)
RE1 Regulatory Examination | Key Individual (an added advantage)
Minimum 3+ years work experience aligned with the nature of this opportunity
Product Knowledge an advantage :
Multi peril, Liabilities, HCV/transporters (motor, GIT and liabilities), Body Corporates, Marine Cargo and Liabilities, Motor Fleet, Motor Traders and Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Generate insurance leads in furtherance to successfully procuring new business.
Negotiate mid and renewal terms with insurers.
Knowledge of insurance market in order to source new or renewal business terms.
Manage escalated claims (administration done by claims staff).
Delegate work to junior underwriter/ administrator.
Policy administration (loading new business, endorsements, renewals).
Understanding financial aspects of premium collection, pro rata’s and impact and management of such on accounting module.
Reconciliation of premiums, invoices and statements.
